The top level Management institutes in India conducts the CAT. The common Admission test (CAT) is the most coveted entrance for admission to IIMs. There is tough competition among the students to secure admission in these top six IIMs. The six Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are
1. IIM Ahemedabad
2. IIM Bangalore
3. IIM Calcutta
4. IIM Lucknow
5. IIM Indore
6. IIM Kozhikode
Other reputed institutes also consider the score of CAT Exam for their admission process.
Eligibility criteria for CAT:
Graduates with a minimum of 50 percent marks are eligible for CAT test. The candidates who are appearing for final year examination of graduation can also apply for CAT.

Forms are available from mid July to mid August
Last date for receipt of Application form for CAT Exam is in September

Structure of the Test:
In every year there are numerous changes in the test paper. Generally the CAT test paper contains three sections.
1. Quantitative Ability
2. Verbal Ability
3. Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation
